## What we built

A women-only safety and sharing app for the UK. On the App Store: free, iPhone, published 22 August 2026 by PurseMe Limited. An Android build is planned but not started; the client is gauging the iPhone response first.

## Highlights

- The app, on iPhone: ID and selfie capture, a panic button, live location sharing with chosen contacts, check-in timers, chat, a community feed, a PIN-protected document vault, and browsing and requesting essentials from women nearby, on a map (Flutter, Riverpod)
- The admin panel: an identity review queue where every submission is approved or rejected by hand, member moderation and suspension, SOS alert handling, and an audit entry written on every action (Next.js)
- The server: 228 API routes, push notifications, Apple IAP on iPhone and Stripe elsewhere, and scheduled deletion of the verification photos (Laravel, MySQL)
- 87 screens and 228 API routes
- Nobody gets in without a person checking their ID. The photo and selfie are reviewed by hand, and the images are deleted on a schedule afterwards
- The admin panel sees metadata only, never the contents of a message
- One press of the panic button does three things at once: raises an SOS, starts a live location share with linked contacts, and pre-fills texts to everyone else
- Distance to a nearby member is calculated against that viewer's own privacy radius, never a fixed one
- Free to use, with a paid PRO tier after a two-month trial
- Payments split by platform because Apple requires it, with StoreKit on iPhone and Stripe elsewhere
